Johann Georg Schmidt
born 1694, died 1767
German lithographer, born and active in Augsburg. He also worked in Brunswick as apprentice to Johann George Beck. He married Beck’s widow after his death in 1726. He mostly made portraits of influential clergyman and civilians, along with calendar illustrations.
